Investment Approach
We believe individual stocks, bonds and Exchange-Traded Funds are the best investments for most clients. Where it is appropriate we will use Open- and Closed-end Mutual Funds, but they typically carry higher expense ratios (fees).
The portion of a client’s portfolio allocated to individual stocks will contain around 20 stocks when fully invested. We believe this weighting allows each client to take advantage of a stock that does very well. It also means that our portfolios move up and down with the markets more than typical mutual fund shares, which typically own 100 or more stocks.
We use a combination of fundamental and technical analysis to determine which stocks to buy and when to buy and sell them. Our proprietary fundamental screen analyzes dozens of characteristics for each stock to calculate a potential for appreciation.
Once a stock has been approved for purchase based on fundamental analysis, the technical screen recommends buy and sell prices. No matter how much we like a stock, we will not buy it if the technical screen doesn’t tell us the time and price are right. This means we may hold cash, sometimes for many months when market conditions are unfavorable.
A stock on the current “buy” or “sell” list is not necessarily a candidate for purchase in every portfolio. Each buy/sell decision is made on an individual basis in each portfolio.
A client’s investment goals, based on questionnaires and personal meetings, the client’s need for, or aversion to taxable or tax-free dividend income, current asset mix or level of portfolio diversification, general market and economic conditions, statistical projections for each company’s stock.
For more information about our proprietary processes, or a conversation about us taking over management of an existing portfolio please contact us and schedule an in-person or zoom meeting. There is never any charge or obligation for consultations.

What We Believe
We believe in God, and that all wealth, and the ability to create it, is a gift from Him.
We believe that as stewards, we will be held accountable to God for 100% of what He has entrusted to us, which includes our personal wealth as well as our clients’.
We encourage all clients to invest wisely, pursue financial responsibility and peace through true contentment, and to live generously.
We believe that this world encourages people to be materialistic, and that materialism has its roots in greed and envy. It is the opposite of generosity, and it always leads to enslavement…either to creditors or to one’s possessions.
We believe true contentment results in a life of generosity, free from debt and servitude, and that these come only through “a life that is truly life” (1 Timothy 6:19) in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
These beliefs are the foundation of this business and are shared by every associate of Crow Financial Advisors.
